At Washita Construction and Renovation, we place the health and safety of our people and the protection of our communities above all else. We continuously complete projects on time and in the safest, most responsible manner. We believe that safety-related incidents are predictable and preventable with good management, defined policies and procedures, a strong supervisory presence, and a caring culture.
We strive to maintain clean and well organized job sites by training employees to follow strict safety standards set by local, state, and federal guidelines. Safety-related training and activities include:
- Training for trenching/excavation, fall protection, heat illness, traffic control and forklift operation
- Training and implementation of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
- CPR and First Aid certification
- OSHA education seminars and consultative services
- Site audits and inspections performed by third-party safety consultants
- Daily maintenance of safety logs and reports
- Safety tailgate meetings for employees and subcontractors
- Injury/incident reporting and investigation
- Drug and alcohol policies
- Site-specific safety plans
- iWATCH and Anti-terrorism level 1 awareness training
